We've been celebrating with our little Monkey. He is turning into such a BIG boy! He has started using the potty, and is doing pretty well. He is very proud of his underpants, and especially likes the cookies that he gets as a reward for #2! He has also started sleeping in his big boy bed! I can't believe that my baby is becoming a little boy. But I'm so proud of the accomplishments he's made, and I know he feel so good about himself.

Spike has also been doing some amazing things! He is walking around all over the place. He looks a little bit like drunken sailor, but his big smile when he's reached his destination is priceless! We also had our second home visit with our new social worker, and it went really well. Of course, both boys woke up with scratches on thier faces, but it's par for the course with two young sons! As if that wasn't enough, tomorrow Spike will turn 1, Thrusday we have his first adoption court hearing, and Saturday is his Tol celebration (more on that to come!).
We got to celebrate our first holiday with our completed family too. Easter was a special day for us for many reasons. We enoyed having our entire family together!

And sadly, my Grandma Kella passed away last week. I will miss her terribly. She was an amazing woman, who was an inspiration to me, especially when going through difficult times. My grandmother survived many tragedies throughout her long (95 years!) life, but always came through everything with strength and dignity. She was a kind, loving person, and took great care of those around her. I have no doubt that she had a ticket straight to heaven, and I take some comfort in knowing that she is now looking out for my family. Although I am very sad, I know that she was ready to go. Her wake and funeral was a celebration of her life, as we heard how she touched many people's lives. I hope she knows how much she will be missed, and how many feel blessed to have known her.

I'm so sorry to hear about your grandma! I wish I would have known - I would have liked to been at the service. She was such a fun and great lady, with so much spunk...and always better than me at golf. We might all wish to be as cool as her in our dotage. Sending my love to you and your mom!!
