Andy and I love spending time with the kids. It's always fun to go on an adventure together, but some of our favorite times are just hanging out around the house finding fun things to do. But the things the boys do with each of us can sometimes be very different!
When I play with the boys, we read, color, ride bikes, etc. We always have a great time, and things are very relaxed and orderly (as orderly as they can be when 2 toddler boys are involved).
That's why I think it's so funny how differently the kids play with their daddy. They wrestle, throw things down the stairs into the laundry basket, and run laps around the house. Andy can also come up with games/activities that I would never be able to think of in a million years. I thought I'd highlight two of my recent favorites.
I went for a run the other morning, and I came home to this:
The boys were dressed a little differently than when I had left. They were wearing their pants on their heads, and their shirts on their legs. This would never even have crossed my mind!
The other night I was finishing some school stuf, and I looked over and my heart skipped a beat.
Daddy had them balanced in a box on top of two of their construction toys and was pushing them around the house. I couldn't look, since I was just waiting for a huge crash to happen!
I think it's great that Monkey and Spike get a variety of playtime activities to participate in. It's just hilarious to me that Andy and I come up with such different ideas!

Oh my goodness - I had to laugh at the shirt-pant swap! Hilarious. And the precarious box thing? Ah, boys...
we have the same thing happen at our house! of course all of daddy's games are a little more dangerous than mommy's :).
cute pictures!
This is so funny! Love the pants on the head. Leave it to the daddy's to be hilarious and crazy.
I'm starting to get used to being the only girl in the house, so I no longer question the value of anything that requires building, throwing, wrestling, running, kicking, jumping or bashing heads into the wall when daddy is supervising.
Though I've not seen the pants on the head, shirt on the feet yet.
OMG! Kara I laughed when I read this. That is so much fun!!!!
I totally love this and agree 100%! I was just talking about this same topic to my parents the other day. I love to watch and listen to the way our little guy and da play together. It is so cute!
