One of the things that I have been most happy about is that I've been able to schedule some weekday playdates with friends. Since I work full time most of the year, and weekends tend to be busier for everyone, I was excited for the boys to get to know the children of some of my friends.
A few weeks ago a fellow bloggy friend came to Chicago. It was so amazing to have the chance to meet her and her family in person. We spent one hot day at the zoo, and another fun day at the Children's Museum with her family and some other friends. It is so great that Spike can get the chance to spend time with other little people who are Korean, and see other families that resemble his. As Monkey pointed out, "Look how many Korean friends we have Mama!" We are lucky!
We also got together with our friends A and A. My boys loved playing at their house, especially with their train table!
Monkey and Spike and I have also been doing some fun things together. We've been to the pool, Black*berry Farm, and have a bunch more outings planned.
Did I mention I LOVE summer?

oh! i love what Monkey said about all your little Korean friends! so cute! i feel lucky too, to know so many little boys around the same age as C - and i'm loving this summer being able to get together with so many of them - including you!

you've managed to pack in so much stuff already - i'm feeling like a serious slacker. the boys had a great time w/monkey & spike too; its nice that all 4 of them manage to play so well together, b/c that's not always the case!

And boy, have you fit in a lot of things! Now I feel like I need to pick it up a bit. ;-)
