This past weekend our adoption agency hosted their annual Korean Celebration. This is such a unique day because they have representatives from our Korean agency in town visiting. Usually their are social workers and foster mothers who come to meet with families they have helped form, and children they have cared for. Their is also good food, live entertainment, and lots of opportunities to connect with other families.
I am lucky enough to know many families who have formed their families through adoption, and many of the mothers are among my close friends. I was also fortunate to meet a few families that I have only known through internet group memberships and blogs. It is always so special to put names to faces, and especially to see the beautiful children with their families.
This year the boys enjoyed making crafts, eating bulgogi, and watching a very cool Tae Kwon Do demonstration.
Making lanterns with Mama and Daddy.
The Tae Kwon Do demonstration...Monkey was our photographer, so this was the best picture we got:). If you'll notice below, he was too enthralled with the performance to worry about pictures!
We had a great time, and feel blessed to have another reminder of how lucky we are to have Spike in our family.

It was so fun to see you guys. Monkey will always hold a special place in my heart when it comes to this event. S's first "friend." :)
What a special gathering. I love that your agency does this. I might have to get those lantern instructions from you, sounds like a fun craft :)
Monkey is looking so grown up lately! I'm not surprised that he got to be the photographer.
Great photos from the event. :)
i remember meeting you guys last year and how much your boys loved the birds! i love that they were equally enthralled with them this year!
monkey is going to be a great little photographer someday!
How wonderful that your agency hosts this event each year. And so amazing that foster families and social workers attend as well! Sounds like a fun time was had by all! :)
We weren't able to make it this year but your pictures brought back memories from last year. My girls were doing their best Tae Kwon Do moves for weeks after they saw that demonstration! I'm glad your family had fun. Hopefully we'll see you there next year!
So fun! I'm so bummed we don't have anything like that in our neck of the woods!
What an awesome event! It sounds like so much fun, and I love that you met even more adoptive families! Monkey and Spike are so cute working on their crafts.
It was super nice to meet you in person and see your adorable boys!!!
I think this is such an incredible opportunity your families have! Looks like a BLAST!

So glad LL puts this event on. It's a whole new event now that we have the friends we do and our kids are not the youngest ones there.
