Florida

0ver the 4th of July, we took a vacation to Florida.  Who knew that we would be escaping the Chicago heat when we scheduled our trip for the middle of the summer?  We had a great time relaxing at the beach and pool, and spending time as a family.  Our trips to Florida have become a wonderful tradition.

Fishing off the pier.  You can barely tell, but we caught a pinstripe fish.  The guy next to us caught a blowfish and a flounder.  It was an exciting day!

The boys caught a lizard with Daddy.  They named him Tim Doody after Uncle Tim.  Poor Tim Doody spent the last few days of our trip in a fish bucket with meals provided by Monkey and Spike.  We let him go before we left since lizards aren't allowed on the airplane.

Love this picture of all my guys on a sunset walk.
The boys spent a lot of time searching for shells and sharks teeth.

4th of July photo shoot.  Fireworks on the beach were the best!

Hanging by the beach and the pool.

And one final one of Spike and his Peepaw.  I LOVE how he's sitting!

Fun vacay! I love all the photos, especially the one with Monkey & Spike standing waist-deep in the water. For some reason that really cracks me up. Once again, I love your date night dress.
