We've had a very busy weekend at our house! We spent the entire weekend working on Spike's room. There was a LOT to do. We painted, put up wallpaper cutouts, installed a chair rail. We painted furniture to put in Monkey's room, so we can put his furniture in Spike's room. We organized Monkey's old baby clothes, replaced windows, put up blinds. Sounds like we got a lot done right? Especially since we had help from Momo, Uncle Tim, Auntie Kathy, Nonna, Peepaw and Meemaw. My goal was to post a picture of the finished product on this blog today. But, like most home improvement projects, for everything we got done, we found 3 more things to do. So the picture will have to wait!
We were able to check many things off of our list though. It was nice to do something proactive for Spike's homecoming, especially since we are in a holding pattern that is becoming more and more difficult for me to handle. I am getting so antsy with the waiting. I just want him home, or at least to know we're closer to getting him here.
Luckily, I have my hubby and son to help keep me distracted. Monkey makes us laugh every day. He has taken to bringing his toy drill with him everywhere and announcing "fix baby brother's room."
We are planning to keep at our projects until at least the boys room's are finished. Wish us luck!

I can't wait to see a picture of the finished product!
One great thing about the wait is that you can use that time to get all those "To Dos" off the list...then when Spike is home, you can just enjoy being together.

Can't wait to see the picture. I totally know what you mean about waiting...It seems kind of crazy, but everytime we get some sort of paperwork in the mail, I feel just a tiny bit better. Now, when it was 5 1/2 weeks between pieces of paperwork, I was not a happy girl!
