After much scheduling and planning, we managed to see almost everyone important to us, and still have some time for just the three of us. On Christmas Eve morning, we drove (in the blizzard) to see Momo and Pops. We made it safely and had a great time having breakfast, opening presents and playing with Uncle Tim. Christmas Eve was just the three of us, and it was wonderful. We ordered pizza, picked out cookies for Santa, and wrote him a letter. Once Monkey went to bed, Andy and I had a bottle of wine while wrapping presents and watching Christmas movies.

We got up early on Christmas day (Monkey was too excited to sleep in) and opened presents from Santa. It was so fun seeing Monkey's reaction to everything. He was just so sweet about all of it. Usually, we go to church on Christmas Eve, but due to the weather and scheduling, we decided to go on Christmas Day. This was the best decision ever! There were not very many people there, and we actually got to sit inside the church and clearly hear the sermon. It was great. We spent the rest of the day at my parents (Nonna and Peepaw), where we celebrated once more with Meemaw, Uncle Jeff and Auntie Jeanna. It was truly a great day!

Our holiday was filled with the people we love and something about this season really makes me count my blessings. Here are some of my favorite gifts this year:
1) My true Christmas miracle, my Monkey.
2) Having a wonderful husband who loves and supports me.
3) Knowing that I have another precious son...who I will meet soon...who is healthy and happy, and being cared for by someone who loves him.
4) My amazing family, especially our parents, who are always there for us.
5) My great group of friends. Even though we are all at different points in our lives, we can pick up right where we left off, and are always there, no matter what.
6) My blog land friends, who have helped me through some happy times, some rough times, and can totally relate to this adoption roller coaster!
Hope everyone's holiday's were as special as ours!
