I'm going to completely ignore the fact that I haven't posted for ages, and jump right in...
Both boys constantly amaze and amuse me with things they say. I thought I'd record a few of them here:).
The other day, Monkey and Spike were being especially energetic. I could barely keep up and said, "What am I going to do with the two of you." Monkey looked me right in the eye and said, "Well, Mama, that's just life."
Spike's speech has really improved over the last few months, and he constantly makes us laugh with the new things he says...Spike opened up a card we received in the mail the other day and said, "Oh my God!" Apparently he was very excited about the contents!
Monkey told us (for the second time) that he was coloring a picture for "his new baby." And, no, I'm not announcing anything. Apparently he's decided himself, that he needs a baby sister (from Korea he says).
We asked Spike to clean up his toys, and he looked at me and said, "No Mama, you do it.

I thought nothing could top "that's just life" ... but "oh my god!" made me choke on my coffee. As Spencer would say "now *that's* funny!"
where do kids come up with this stuff?!!! all so funny...but i especially love, "well, mama, that's just life." smart boy!!!
Oh.my.God. I just LOVE the things that come out of their mouths! Sometimes it's very profound and sometimes just hilarious. I'm glad you are recording these moments :)

i think my favorite is the "that's just life." hee hee! we could learn a lot from monkey!
