Back to Blogging...

Can you tell I've been feeling very unispired lately? Maybe the months between blog posts gave you a clue? Well, recently, two of my friends got some amazing news, and gave me the motivation to get back into the bloggy world. As I write this our very close friends Rick and Patti, have finally met their beautiful son for the first time. I don't know all the details yet, but my heart has been so full thinking of their experience today. Rick and Patti have waited 6 1/2 years to become parents, and it brings tears to my eyes to know they have finally achieved their dream. They are amazing people, a strong couple, and will be exceptional parents. I am just so thrilled that they will be bringing their son home at the end of the week, forever. Congratulations you guys. My other dear friend, Cori, will travel to meet her second son later this week. Her road to this beautiful boy was written in the stars, and she has been so patient throughout the wait. I am so excited for her and her family to become a family of four. Throughout the past few days, when my boys have been playing together, I can't help but think that this is what she will be experiencing soon. So in honor of Big Star coming home, here are five things I've learned from living with two brothers... 1. Even if you buy both boys the SAME exact toy, they will want the one the other has. No matter what it is... 2. After the age of 3, it is hard to pass down pants. Somehow, boys manage to wear out the knees (and bums) of most pants...jeans, track pants, it doesn't matter. 3. It's never to early for boys to start comparing (ahem) certain body parts. I'm not joking! 4. They can be playing so nicely together, and if I leave the room for a minute, someone will start yelling or crying. By the time I race back there, they are best friends again. (I seriously love this about boys.) 5. There is nothing better than seeing the bond between two brother. Watching them love on each other, stick up for each other, and play with each other. It's the best! Congratulations again to both these amazing families. I am SO happy for you guys!!!

So excited for your friend Patti - woohoo! I don't know them, but I can imagine how they must be feeling after such a long journey to parenthood. And, well, you certainly know how I feel about Cori & family :) That is a great list you came up with, Kara!
