Here is the newest miracle to be added to our family. We cannot even begin to express the whirlwind of emotions we have been feeling the last few days. In fact, I've rewritten this post at least 10 times now to try to convey how much love I have in my heart for my two little sons. I can't seem to come up with words, except to say that when I looked at little Spike's (his nickname for the purpose of this blog) picture, my heart swelled to twice it's original size.
Along with these positive emotions, we are also accutely aware that Spike's birthmother had to make an extremely difficult choice. We will never be able to express to her our gratitude, so we will honor her by raising her son the best way we can, in a house filled with love and security.
I can't wait to meet this little guy! It took us about 5 hours to complete all of the acceptance paperwork this weekend, and we will send it out once it's all copied and notarized. We will have to wait 3-4 (long) months for everything to get where it needs to go, in the USA and Korea.
Please keep us (and all of the other waiting families) in your thoughts and prayers. And please say a prayer for little Spike's birth mommy too.
