Going Shopping

Last week was the annual fall clothing exchange at my school. Twice a year we host a clothing sale for little ones ages 0-5. For years, I would walk by the gym and look in at all the tiny little outfits just wishing I would be lucky enough to shop for my own children someday. Two years ago I got the chance to shop for the first time for Monkey, and it was as good as I had imagined! Last Friday, I went shopping for Spike. It was a kind of crazy on my part, since I already have all the boy clothes I could ever need from Monkey, but I had fun anyway.

It's these little everyday things that make me catch my breath and truly appreciate how lucky I am. At one point in my life, I didn't know if I would ever have a child to be able to buy a onesie for, and now I have two beautiful little boys to shop for. I am truly blessed.

I'm glad that you were able to enjoy your shopping for Spike. He will be home soon and enjoying all his new clothes! Maybe we will even see some pictures of him modeling the clothes... ;)

One of the schools around us has a big sale like that. I never seem to be around that weekend to check it out. Hopefully next year... when our little one is close to coming home.

I love those sales!! I know, for me, getting ready sure made it feel more real. And that our little guy would be home to wear these clothes someday!
