Monkey's Mouth

Having a 3 year old is an interesting experience! I truly LOVE the way Monkey has come into his own, and his personality has really come out. But since his personality has really come out, he can be opinionated too, which can sometimes lead to some...ummm...differences of opinion. The majority of the time, Monkey is a sweet, loving, cuddly little guy. And he loves to talk! Some of the things he comes up with are hilarious. I thought I'd share a few of my recent favorites.

1) We have dance parties at our house, and Andy has taught the boys how to shake their "money makers". After bathtime the other night, Monkey asked, "Mama, can you dry my money maker?"

2) The other day was very very windy. When I picked the boys up from daycare, his teacher was telling us how the power kept going off and on. When I asked Monkey about it, he told me "We had issues."

3) Apparently I was taking too long to get my shoes on to go outside. Monkey said, "Hurry up old lady!"

4) I was reaching over to tickle Monkey's little belly, and he told me to keep my hands to myself.

5) Spike was being silly and pretending to fall down, over and over again, and Monkey asked me, "What are we going to do with this kid?"

6) I was sitting in the very back of our SUV, yelling something up to Andy in the front. Apparently I was loud, and Monkey told me to "Relax, Mama!"
