We had a great Valentine's Day at our house this year. Our second one as a family of four, and boy, how a year changes things. Last year, Spike had been home for roughly three weeks, and hadn't adjusted to life in our family quite yet. Fast forward to this year and his little personality was out in full force! Valentine's Day is not a holiday that Andy and I usually make a big deal out of, so since we've had children, it's been more about our love for them. This year, we spent time playing at our house, and ended up going to the Children's Museum. It was so much fun. Both boys are old enough that we can let them run around and explore for themselves, and it was so interesting seeing what each of them gravitated towards. They are truly the light of our lives, and we are so lucky to be able to love such amazing individuals!

This blog's intended purpose is to document the adventures of our boys, but occasionally something happens to one of their parents that is too good not to share. So here goes...
My good friend at work loves the Twilight series as much as I do. Seeing as we are of an older and more mature age than many Twilight fans, we only recently discovered our shared obsession. Somehow, we have begun pulling pranks on each other involving the characters from the book and movies. For example, I framed a picture of Edward and put it on her desk in her classroom. She noticed it right in the middle of class, and was so flustered, she was unable to teach for a good two minutes. But the award for best practical joke, definitely goes to her. Last week when I went out to my car to drive home from school, I found this-

Can you even picture a 33 year old woman driving home 40 minutes from school in this? It was so embarassing, but I have to give her credit!
And finally, my new addiction (thanks to my friends Christine and Christine K) is the Korean drama Boys Over Flowers. I cannot get enough! It is so good! I love listening to the characters speak Korean, and to get a peek into the culture, but most of all I love the story! Maybe I really am a teenager at heart!
Okay...I'm off to squeeze in 20 min of BOF...

and while i haven't dove into the twilight addiction (btw you and your friend are hilarious!), you know i am a BOF addict. it's so great! i actually wish i would have watched a few Korean dramas before we traveled, because of how much you learn about the culture.
That. Is. Awesome!
I'm a fellow BOF lover. So. Are you Team Ji Hoo or Team Jun Pyo?
I'm glad you enjoyed Valentine's Day with your sweet boys! They are so cute. Love the prank your friend played on you--too funny! And you know how I feel about BOF...
Valentine's day is all about our kids too! I just watched episode 1 of BOF last night. What have you all gotten me into??? I'm also a teenager at heart... or, at least I'm a thirty-something with the TV-viewing habits of a 16 year old! :)
Very Sweet. Happy Valentine's Day! I love the Twilight series too. I vowed never to get into to but, a close friend convinced me. I've read about BOF but, haven't checked it out yet. I just might have to.
ooooh... ANOTHER BOF-er.
i need to get going on that front.
but i'm already COMPLETELY with you when it comes to twilight. however... team jacob, all the way.
Sounds like you had the perfect V-day with your family!
Your friend sure got you good! Yeah, I would have been dying driving home with my car like that too!
And I just watched my first episode of BOF today. I think I'm hooked. Just what I need. Something else to distract me from all the chores I should do. :)
Your car is hilarious!!
Though I'm not a Twilight or BOF addict...I have plenty of my own.
Oh my gosh, you and your friends are hilarious! I laughed out loud when I saw your car, especially "I'm your Bella!" I LOVE the Twilight series. I really need to find time for BOF.
And it sound like a lovely Valentine's Day for your family.
Man, that must have sucked for the person that had to get that paint off of your car!!!!!!!!!!
This post is very timely since I'm frantically trying to catch up on blogs so I can finish the last 400 pages of breaking dawn! Seriously. So while I should probably comment on the Valentine's Day sweetness, I won't. :-) I will however say welcome to BOF insanity! :-)
